Ben Stookesberry - Expeditionary Kayaker - On Finding Purpose in Between Adventures
This episode was recorded just after midnight along the banks of the Futaleufu River, in Southern Chile with world-renowned adventure kayaker Ben Stookesberry.
Ben has taken his kayak around the world in search of big water and first descents. He has logged more than 70 of them in 15 different countries and is also a photographer, filmmaker and the founder of Clear H2O Films. Stookesberry’s documentary Kadoma, which showcases the many perils of kayaking the remote Lukuga River in the Democratic Republic of Congo. A 2016 expedition took him on a 46-day crossing of the Greenland Ice Cap in search of never-before-paddled rivers that end in the Arctic Ocean. This adventure is depicted in the film Into Twin Galaxies.
